AK Charters offers a mix of curated trips, private retreats, and select public events, all designed and hosted on our property in the heart of Alaska.
Our curated experiences — including Paddle & Pose Yoga Retreats, Women-only fishing retreats, and small-group adventures, Even a guys only week— are intentionally limited in size and offered exclusively through AK Charters. These trips are fully hosted, thoughtfully planned, and built around connection, skill-building, and immersive time on the river and land.
Alongside our private retreats, we also host community-focused public events throughout the season. These include music festivals, our annual Father’s Day Fish-Off, holiday celebrations, and hands-on experiences such as foraging walks and jelly-making classes. Public events are open to guests who want to join in, learn something new, and experience Alaska in a welcoming, social setting.
Whether you’re attending an exclusive retreat or joining us for a festival weekend, every event reflects our commitment to authenticity, stewardship, and creating experiences that feel meaningful — not mass-produced.
CHARTERS
Join us for one of our amazing charters! Let's take a raft down the amazing Klutina River one of those secretly famous for its infamous king and red salmon. Charters stop at the hotspots along the trip, providing you with multiple opportunities to catch the big one.
You'll receive professional one-on-one guidance and we'll provide you with all the necessary gear., or maybe a Tour of Valdez, Kayaking postcard worthy lakes in the Copper River Valley. Maybe an exciting ATV tour or even better ATV tour & FISHING! Perhaps it's just the sound of the water and a beautiful float and wildlife viewing. ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY SALMON BAKE AND POTLUCK
Join us for our Annual two day 4th of July Salmon Bake and Potluck. We'll be cooking up some of the freshly caught red salmon over a grill for all of our guest staying with us and serving up delicious food. We do ask that everyone participating bring at least a dish to share with the rest of the KFAD family. Enjoy Two days of VENDORS & LIVE MUSIC, smores and more!

At the end of the day, as per tradition we celebrate America's independence with THE fireworks show for the whole family to remember to a lifetime.

Departure Fest
Join us on August 15th for one last hoorah to bid farewell to summer at KFAD! Enjoy an exciting day filled with vendors, games, and live music from artists all over the US.
This event is free for all guests staying at the campground, and it’s open to the public too!

WILD & REEL EVENTS
Enjoy a exclusively curated retreat for you and 15-20 others split into 6 days and 5 nights of rafting and fishing on Alaska's pristine water ways of the Copper River Basin. Once you arrive in Anchorage allow us to take care of the rest.
